Hey,Voyager_NL here! Have a look at my YawVR setup:
As a Kickstarter member I got my YawVR PRO unit in November 2019 but overheated one of the three motors in December 2019 because my previous setup was too heavy on the footrest + I had a counterweight installed at the back. After I had repaired the motor I made a new plan, got lighter pedals and was able to remove the counterweight. The plate at the back is still useful for attaching power and USB and storing my keyboard when not playing.Peripherals I have installed are Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer wheel + T150/T80 pedals and Saitek X52 Pro Hotas (currently known as Logitech)

That’s a great setup.
Just out of interest what was the weight of your pedals that overheated your motor.
I’m using the Pedals from the Logitech G29 which are around 2.8kg.That’s not including
the combined weight of the YawVR footplate.
