Game Engine connector for SimTools v.3 plugins

SimTools 3 connector for YawVR Game Engine v.2.6

This plugin allows Game Engine to use the plugins developped for SimTools v. 3.

The 12 motion inputs are supported as well as the 12 vibrations inputs.

System requirements:

You NEED the Game_PluginAPI_v3.dll file that comes along with SimTools 3. If you don't have

a SimTools license, you can just download and install the software as a demo and take the dll.

Installation:

1. Copy SimTools3Plugin.dll in Game Engine's "Gameplugins" folder

2. Copy Game_PluginAPI_v3.dll also in Game Engine's "Gameplugins" folder

3. In Game Engine's "Gameplugins" folder, create a new folder which must be called Simtools3Plugins

4. Copy the files contained in a Simtools plugin zip file in the "Simtools3Plugins" folder

NB: If you own SimTools, it is not neccessary to download the plugins again, the plugins installed in SimTools will be automatically found and listed.

Usage:

1. Select the SimTools v.3 plugin in Game Engine

2. Click the "Patch" button to open the SimTools selector window.

3. In the connector window, select your game, then close the window.

4. Launch your game.

5. Click "Start Plugin" in Game Engine.

Note:

Some games which have memory hook offsets stored in an XML file will requires this file to be renamed or copied. Maybe it will be also needed to copy and/or rename the offset file in the original folder used by SimTools. This folder is located here:

C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\SimTools3\GamePlugins

Limitations:

- The "Patch game" routine that may exist in the SimTools plugin is not implemented (yet).

- Some games which need special additional software (e.g. MSFS2020) probably won't work.
