Slightly Frankensteining my base
Here's a DYI project I did. I wanted to bring in some extra (cool) air and and some extra airflow to the airflow that was introduced with the Cooling Monitoring Solution from Yawvr. It's not that I don't trust their solution, It just felt I needed to comfort myself that it has this extra bit.
!!! WARNING !!! !!! WARNING !!!
The shell/cover is very prone to breaking when you apply pressure with a drill, etc. Do this kind of activities at your own risk. By no means whatsoever do I or YawVR recommend such a change.

This is the base untouched
Created 5cm holes and 2 small incisions near the power console for wiring
Fitted the fans and power button
Some wire management ;)
This is how she looks from the outside
Finished and working.
Had to loosen one screw a tiny bit as one fan was slightly touching the dustcover.

You've done a fab job there. Lot's of airflow and exhaust hot air. Looking good, well done 😘
Cool installation, where did you plug the USB cable to power the fans? Directly at the USB port on the Raspberry Pi in the Yaw?
Yes directly into the Raspberry Pi.
